We hand roast our coffee in a Giesen W15A roaster which we have nicknamed “Sally”. The photo on the right shows our founder, Steve, dropping roasted beans into the cooling tray.

 

“Sally” was built in November 2021 by the Dutch company, Giesen. This roaster allows us to make minute adjustments to the burner, air pressure, drum speed…in fact almost everything that might have even the smallest impact on the taste of the coffee during roasting. We say almost because we cannot control the weather…and that can have an affect on a roast.

 

We carefully roast all of our coffee by hand. No automation here!
