Natural & Washed

Smooth and punchy with oodles of flavour. Expect notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar and strawberry. Excellent as an espresso coffee but equally delicious as a cafetière or filter.
Both the Brazil and Peru beans in the blend are from a carefully selected group of smallholder farmers. Often coffee growers are too small to make up a viable quantity of beans to sell. So, cooperatives will select the best beans and make up a lot that can be sold and shipped to customers.
1549 is our signature espresso blend and is designed and roasted to bring out the natural sweetness and vibrancy. We roast 1549 well into first crack to maintain some acidity but to also ensure there is enough depth of flavour to complement a milky coffee.
